The State of Indiana has remarkable women leaders and I was honored to be one those that attended the conference.  We were encouraged to help women of all ages to achieve their goals.   The speakers life experiences were impressive and showed the committment that each person made to get where they are today.  Truly all that attended were passionate about their lifetime goals.

On March 27, 1985, attorneys Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax traded in the courtroom for the dining room. Having always wanted to get into the restaurant business, they pitched their legal pads to serve hearth-baked pizzas. They introduced flavors and tastes from around the world, from Thai to Jamaican Jerk…all on a pizza.

All of thier innovative pizzas are creatively designed on a delicious crust, and hearth-baked to perfection. Also served are creative salads, made-to-order pastas, soups, sandwiches, appetizers and desserts.

The NFL will work with the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host committee, civic groups, government and approved certification agencies to create a database of local minority and women-owned businesses, which will be screened and compiled into an online Business Resource Guide. This resource will be made available to all NFL-affiliated contractors, sponsors and Super Bowl related groups.

Saturday walkers took steps to boost awareness of multiple sclerosis, and raised money to find a cure and provide treatment and support services. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, the society website said. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and affect individuals differently.

About 20 teams signed up for the 2011 Walk MS Event to work towards a $25,000 fundraising goal to fund research for a cure while helping people diagnosed with MS lead more fulfilling lives.

 
Trailblazers began in 2005 when NAWBO sought out successful women business leaders in the community to share their stories with other woman entrepreneurs.  From that first panel of five to the hundreds that attended this years event, “Trailblazers” keeps sparking conversations about how to grasp opportunities, overcome challenges, build successful careers while balancing family and giving back to the community.  Each panelist’s was willing to open their heart and share their journey to other enterprising women.  They have blazed a trail that will continue to help and inspire women everywhere.  

There are many reasons, the most primary of these being:

• Signs are the most effective, yet least expensive, form of advertising for the small business.
• A sign is your introduction and handshake with those passing by, identifying your business to existing and potential customers.
• Signs are always on the job for you, advertising 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• People often judge a business by how it looks on the sign.
• Many merchants increase their business measurably just by adding a good sign. Conversely, many have gone out of business because they simply were not identified well, so not enough potential customers knew of their existence. As one sign industry professional put it, “”A business without a sign is a sign of no business.”"
• We live in a mobile society. According to the United States Census Bureau, 18% of households relocate each year. As your customers move, you need to replace them by attracting new customers

Employees of A Sign by Design donated their time and energy to help pack and load cargo containers of food, medical supplies, and toiletries to ship to Haiti. Almost nothing that Northwest Haiti Christian Mission does could be sustained without the time and support of its thousands of partners across North America. A Sign by Design became a part of bringing hope to Haiti on January 26, 2011.
