When Beverly Miller founded A Sign By Design in 1988, she certainly didn’t imagine that it would be where it is today.
At the time, the only options available to illuminate signage were fluorescent or neon. In an attempt to keep up with technology and to protect the environment, today, A Sign By Design uses LED lighting in over 95% of their signs. In addition to being low voltage, LED lighting is also low maintenance which makes our customers satisfied and happy.
In 2010, A Sign By Design was ranked third in Indianapolis Business Journal’s book of lists in the sign industry category. Also in 2010, the Indianapolis Business Journal included A Sign By Design in their top 25 women owned businesses.
In over 23 years of operation, A Sign By Design signs have landscaped the city of Indianapolis. They identify the products and services that you use on a daily basis. At the airport, the RCA sign “Welcomes You to Indianapolis.” The Community Hospital sign directs you to the emergency room or to your doctor’s office. Your view from your seat at Victory Field provides an illuminated roster of our clients; Courtyard by Marriott, Duke Realty, the Hoosier Lottery and Key Bank. We have expanded our operations by manufacturing and installing signs across the country as far as California. Lincoln Technical Institute, Verizon Wireless as well as Amazon Fulfillment signs appear in over 15 states.
And it all began in a spare room with a telephone and a fax machine and a desire to succeed.
